Your base for takeoff
The takeoff page in Canaveral, where the magic happens

We’re hard at work creating the ultimate cloud-based & AI-native takeoff tool for construction estimators, starting with the Mechanical (HVAC) trade. We’ve identified and refined some core features and workflows:

When choosing object dimensions during takeoff, existing software leaves users to navigating massive grids of numbers or reaching across the screen for selection, slowing down their workflow. We can do better; so we developed QuickDraw. QuickDraw uses computer vision and optical character recognition to surface metadata suggestions at the point of need; right where the user places their cursor.
Say a user is taking off a 20”x16” duct like shown in the right. On competitor platforms this would be a 2 second journey to a sidebar panel, 4+ mouse and keyboard interactions, and a 2 second journey back to where you started.
In Canaveral, it’s as easy as holding Q
, moving your mouse a few pixels to the right, and selecting the dimension prediction, all while keeping your pointer focused on the plan area at hand. We are working to expand these suggestions beyond dimensions to include fittings and other data detected in the document.

We’ve developed a compounding predicate filter system that will give estimators unprecedented visibility and selection controls over their takeoff objects. This will allow extremely specific targeting of fittings, dimensions, materials, and nearly infinite combinations of these and 50+ other metadata fields, reducing time spent making complex takeoff adjustments.
Estimators will be able to markup objects efficiently, like:
… and more.

Think “predictive autocomplete” for takeoff. We’re building a computer vision model that will generate takeoff suggestions for you at your point of focus—if you see a prediction outline, just hit tab, and Canaveral will automatically create your takeoff objects for you. You’re still in control, just supercharged.
